★ DIY Christmassy Lanterns ★

Hey Guys!

In my last September Favourites (you can see it here), I showed you a really cute little candle lantern that I made! If you know me you'll know that I am totally obsessed with candles and I have like 30 scattered all over my room, so I was super excited to know that you guys wanted a tutorial on how to make one of these - it gives me an excuse to make another :D 

So I don't know if a tutorial is really needed for this as it is that easy, but hey ho, you asked! :) 

1. Grab a jar. Any jar will do! I prefer to use glass ones instead of plastic just incase the candle gets really hot and melts the plastic (am I being ridiculous for that?)

2. Cover it in a thin layer of clear glue. I try to get it as smooth and even as I can as the glitter will come out nice and even too! I also like to do one section of the jar at a time so I can hold it easier. 

3. Sprinkle on some glitter! If you want you can go all out and use two colours ;D

4. Spray it with hairspray - trust me, if you don't do that your entire room will just be entirely covered in glitter. Not that that's a bad thing

5. I like to tie a bit of ribbon around the top as a cute finishing touch, but this is optional :)

September Favourites

Hey guys! I am really looking forward to Winter right now - Bonfire Night, Halloween (any excuse to get dressed up all weird and go round peoples houses asking for food) and Christmas are the best! I can't believe it's October already...

Today I'm going to be doing my September Favourites. I'm pretty sure this is my first favourites post; I mean to do one every month but by the time I remember it's already half way through the month!

The first thing in my September favourites is the cute little candle that I got from Primark for £1.50! This is an absolute bargain and it looks really cute sitting on my shelf :) I can't really tell if there's a smell in the air when I light this but my mum can. It smells a bit shampoo-ey but hey, shampoo smells nice, right?

The next thing is this Cream Blush from NYX. I've actually had this for about a year but I totally forgot I had it, then I rediscovered it (in my mum's makeup bag) this morning! I love this cream blush because it's one of the few that doesn't dry out my lips if I decide to use it as a lip colour. It's MEGA pigmented - I'm pretty sure this will last forever. It also lasts all day long and services pretty well on the lips too :) 

Okay so this, I am officially inlove with. I've never tried moroccan oil or anything like that (wayyyy out of my price range) however my friend has tried both Miracle Oil and Moroccan Oil and she prefers this one! I got it for £3.99 from Aldi after her recommendation because I need something to care for my dead bleached ends (hello ombre hair... shall I do a post on it?) and it works a treat; I honestly don't think my hairs ever felt this soft! I get around about a 10p sized amount and spread it in the palm of my hands, then just run this through the lengths of my hair when it's about 60% dry. I thought that I should use less than that because my hair is very thin, fine and gets weighed down by products easily but this is absolutely fine! 

Last but certainly not least is this gorgeous candle lantern. Just how adorable is this!? It looks like something you'd put tinkerbell in! And the best part is, I made it myself from an old jar of honey! I'm dying to make another but I've been trying for days now to get the strawberry jam label off another jar... when I do, I'll do a how-to! This looks super duper cute with a tea light in (the one in at the moment in lavender scented...mmmm) and I can't wait to use this at Christmas time.
